South by Southwest is a festival based in Austin, Texas that is dedicated to celebrating and supporting the interactive, music and film industries. As the streets of downtown are quickly preparing themselves for one of the largest festivals in the world, so are we! SXSW offers a variety of amazing opportunities for people of all work and creative fields. In our case, the Pop-Up events are a huge plus! Here are the five Pop-Up’s CAP Communications will be “popping” in to this year…

  1. BE Conference: As an entrepreneur and team filled with women, this conference is essential to furthering our expertise  in the industry and continuing to expand the brand. This pop-up offers a wide variety of workshops, connections, and mentoring designed to help make you the best version of yourself. We can’t wait to see what this opportunity has in store for us! http://beconferences.com.

  2. SNAP House | Brand Summit Cookout: This not-to-be missed day event will feature industry experts speaking on the social media trends while indulging in Texas BBQ, drinks and friends. We are inviting old friends and meeting new ones for this networking summit.  https://snaphousecookoutsxsw.splashthat.com

  3. Lava Mae Pop-Up Care Village: With all the fun SXSW things going on, we can’t forget to surrender a little bit of our time to give back to the community. The Lava Mae pop-up offers the incredible opportunity to provide food, showers and support to the homeless people in Austin. The best part about it - these Care Villages are specifically designed to create a fun and optimistic atmosphere by providing live music, arts and entertainment. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lava-mae-pop-up-care-village-goes-to-sxsw-powered-by-encast-tickets-32308305010?aff=es2.

  4. Create and Cultivate: This is definitely one of the Pop-up’s we are most excited about attending this year! As they would say, it’s all about “being a woman in the modern digitally connected world”  - which is so relevant to us! It’s an incredible chance to meet women, including Kristen Bell and Amy Farley, and listen to their personal keys to success and advice on mastering being a business savvy woman.http://www.createcultivate.com/sxsw2017/.

  5. Breaking Bad’s Los Pollos Hermanos: We’ve been wanting the real-life version in Austin for years, and now we will have a chance to experience this fried chicken reality. There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the idea of a SXSW pop-up for the Breaking Bad fried chicken chain to tie in the return of Gus Fring on AMC sister show Saul. And now, AMC has announced fans will be able to sample Fring’s curly fries from March 10-12th at 122 W. 5th St.

Happy SXSW, and we hope to see some of yall there!
